Croatia - Island of Korcula - Picena bay

Position:

The bay Picena is situated on the west side of the island of Korcula in the great port of Vela Luka. In front of it is situated the little island of Ošjak. The bay is shallow, so it is suiteble for children and people who can't swim. In the bay there is the bridge where you can drop anchors from boats. It is protected from all the winds except the northern one. The distance from Vela Luka is about 2,5 km.

There are about 7 private houses with apartments for rent. Near the sea there is the restaurant with very good food. All houses are of robinson type because there is no energy connection. You can come by the car to the bay and there is the parking place also. It is a beautiful place for the byciclism and those who likes it can go in two ways: from Vela Luka all over Pupnat for about 2,5 km or for 14 km over Poplat and Potirna, so it can also be the beautiful active vacation.
